To initiate the process of adding a new driver, access the "Personnel/Fleet" section from the main menu and then choose "Setup New Company" or "Setup New Sub Contractor" Driver.

Section 1) Driver Qualification
It is crucial to provide the driver's phone number within the driver qualification page to enable their access to the Axis TMS App. Ensure that the profile setup is fully completed through step 5 and verify that the driver status is set to "Active."

Section 2) Built-in background, PSP, MVR checks
- Run MVR / Background Check while going through the driver qualification stage
- Get results in minutes on your Personnel / Fleet dashboard “Tasks”
- Background Check Fee $20.00 plus state fees
- MVR Check Fee $5.00 plus state fees.
Section 3) Send previous employer verification by a click of a button
- Upon hiring a new driver enter the Previous Employment data
- Upload Request Form signed by driver
- Enter Fax Number of previous employer and click send fax
- Fax will be sent to previous employer by the system automatically
- Go to the next employer and repeat
Section 4) Compensation
Pay: Pay Per Mile, Pay Per Load, Gross Percentage, or Pay Per Hour as the driver's payment method.
Team Pay: Pay Per Mile, Pay Per Load, Gross Percentage, or Pay Per Hour.
These will be required in order to generate pay stubs. Solo Pay will be used if only one driver is assigned to the truck, Team Pay will be used if there are two drivers assigned to the truck.
Additional Pay Options - Making a selection here will Axis TMS to automatically make calculations based on wait time, layovers, and more.
- Detention Pay: Choose whether drivers receive detention pay (Yes/No).
- Lay Over Pay: Specify if layover pay is provided to drivers (Yes/No).
- Stop Off Pay: Indicate whether stop-off pay is applicable (Yes/No).
- Live Unload Pay: Decide if live unload pay is offered (Yes/No).
- Truck Order Not Used (Dry Run): Specify whether drivers receive payment for truck orders not used (Yes/No).
- Breakdown Pay: Choose if breakdown pay is provided (Yes/No).
- Delivery: Determine if drivers receive payment for deliveries (Yes/No).
- Re-Delivery: Specify whether re-delivery pay is applicable (Yes/No).
- Fuel Surcharge: Decide if fuel surcharge is included in the payment (Yes/No).
- Tarp Pay: Indicate whether drivers receive tarp pay (Yes/No).
- Wait Time Pay: Decide if drivers receive pay for wait time (Yes/No).
Pay Type:
- 1099: Specify if drivers are classified as independent contractors (Yes/No).
- Direct Deposit: Indicate if direct deposit payment method is available for drivers (Yes/No).
Payment Type:
- Paper Check: Choose whether paper checks are used for payments.
- Payment Stubs: Indicate if payment stubs are provided.
- Email Stub: Specify if payment stubs are sent via email.
Section 5: Agreement & Status
Hire Date: Enter the driver's hire date, which is the date they joined your company.
Company Driver Agreement: Upload the company driver agreement document if applicable.

Drug Testing: Indicate if the driver has been added to random drug testing (Yes/No).
Fuel Card Activation: Specify if the driver's fuel card has been activated (Yes/No).
DOT Handbook: Confirm if a DOT Handbook has been provided to the driver (Yes/No).
Road Test: Note if the driver has undergone a road test (Yes/No).
Passport / Citizenship: Provide the driver's passport or citizenship information, if applicable.
Additional Approvals:
- Indicate if the driver is approved for the following:
- FAST approved (Yes/No)
- TWIC approved (Yes/No)
- Tanker approved (Yes/No)
- HazMat approved (Yes/No)
Additional Signed Documents: - Upload any other relevant documents required for the driver.
Expiry Items: - Enter the expiration date and status for any items that have an expiration date.
SMS Receive Status: - Choose whether the driver will receive SMS notifications (Yes/No).
Mobile App Settings:

- Decide if the driver load pay will be hidden on the mobile app (Yes/No).
- Specify if the driver is required to upload the Bill of Lading (Yes/No).
- Choose whether the Load Post Amount will be shown in the Driver Load Search (Yes/No).
Driver Status: - Set the driver's active status or indicate if they are out of service.
Driver Picture: - Upload the driver's picture for identification purposes.
Note: Add any additional notes or information relevant to the driver setup.

Upon successful completion of the profile setup, the driver will receive a text message containing instructions to download the Axis TMS App.
SMS Turn On / Off
Following the dispatch of an order, an automatic text message will be sent to the driver, prompting them to review order details and instructions on the Axis TMS Pro mobile app. If necessary, the SMS notification feature can be easily enabled or disabled within the driver's profile.
Note: To ensure proper functionality of the driver app, it is imperative to fill out all relevant Driver Compensation settings thoroughly.
