Guide: Creating an Order in Axis TMS
Axis TMS empowers you to efficiently create and manage orders for your transportation operations. The "Create Order" page provides a comprehensive platform to input and organize essential shipment details. This guide will walk you through the process step by step:
Start by logging in and locating the create order button from the Order Management Dashboard or left- side menu.
Step 1: Order Information

Charges Section: Begin by specifying charges related to the shipment.
- Type: Choose the type of charge.
- Qty: Enter the quantity associated with the charge.
- Rate: Input the rate per quantity.
- Total: The system calculates the total automatically based on the quantity and rate.

Generate Base Rate, Fuel Surcharge, Qty Miles: Optionally, generate base rate, fuel surcharge, and quantity miles charges.

Total Charges: Displays the total charges for the order.

Use Canadian Currency: Select this option if using Canadian currency.
Step 2: Shipment Group Assignment
- Assign Shipment Group: Link the shipment to a specific group within your organization.
Step 3: Customer and Billing Details
- Bill To: Enter the billing company's name. (Click on the Plus Icon to add a new Customer)
- Order Reference: Input a reference for the order.
- Additional Reference ID: Provide additional reference information.
Step 4: Notification and Notes
- Notification Updates: Enter an email address for notification updates.
- Notes: Add any relevant notes for internal reference.
Step 5: Stop Details

Stop 1:
- Company: Enter the company name. (Click on the Plus Icon to add a new Shipper / Receiver)
- Type: Select the appropriate type.
- Pickup / Delivery #: Input the pickup or delivery number.
- Additional Reference ID: Provide any additional reference ID.
- Date & Time: Specify the date and time for pickup/delivery.
- Time Window: Set the time window for the stop.
- Dock High: Choose if the stop is dock high.
- Pieces: Enter the number of pieces.
- Weight: Input the weight in pounds (lbs).
- Temperature Control: Select the temperature control option.
- DIMS: Specify the length, width, and height.
- Commodity: Select the appropriate commodity.
- Truck Type: Choose the required truck type.
- Trailer Action: Indicate if it's a live load.
- Notes: Add any specific notes for this stop.

Stop 2: Follow the same process as for Stop 1.
Step 6: Additional Stop (Optional)
- Add Additional Stop: If needed, click to add another stop and repeat the process.
Step 7: Review and Save
- Continue: If you have would like to assign a driver right away, click "Continue" to proceed.
- Save and Exit: Review the entered information, then click "Save and Exit" to finalize the order.
